Summer Fayre

I was invited to a Summer Fayre at our local church, I have done a Christmas one but a Summer One proved to be a bit of a challenge.

I did come up with some ideas and here`s a couple of photos taken as I was setting up. Unfortunately my OH thinks hes a photographer and I`ve just found out he took two photos and none of the stall set up fully

At the front is some plants. He sold two boxes as he carried them into the church, I wasnt aware they were there until much later

Little chap fishing

I`ve received some nice goodies from Lili of the valley this week. So I made this little chap fishing.

The backing papers were from a collection of freebies from Cardmaking and Papercraft

The little boy Image was from Lili of the Valley as to was the Time to Celebrate stamp.

The base card was a selection of card by Kanban, can you tell I live not far from the factory shop?

The buttons I found in my handbag, must be from an item of clothing I have bought somewhere.

I love him I think he`s really cute and drew my inspiration from The Lili of the Valley website. If I didnt spend so much time on these sites I could make loads of craftie items

Friend Card. For a Lady

This card has been a bit of an experiment. I`m not sure about the colours but wanted to try my Martha Stewart punch and was so impatient that I just grabbed any colour backing papers and worked with them.

Tilda sitting on the fence was stamped, then scanned and sized to the size I wanted. I find it easier that way because sometimes the stamps dont work for me. I`m a bit fingers and thumbs when stamping so I stamp as many as I can and when I get a good one I scan it.

I coloured her in using Promarkers which I`m not sure about. I think I prefer watercolours but having bought a lot of pens I am perservering.

As regard the friend tag,  I printed one out using my Silhouette SD sketch pens so it looks better

Art Deco Lady

I had a delivery from Wild Orchid Crafts lately and after seeing their website, I used it as some inspiration for a card

For this card I used a free backing paper from the Kate Knight Collect which I had with my Cardmaking and Papercraft Magazine

The Art Deco Lady was a topper by Kanban

A Martha Stewart Punch was used for the border currently on offer at Samuel Taylors Brighouse

The flowers were supplied by Wild Orchid Crafts
The gingham ribbon and buttons by docrafts

The lace was from Wild Orchid Crafts anf the ribbon embellishment
The heart was purchased from a seller on ebay

Its my first attempt at something so different and it turned out beautifully so I very pleased with result as its for a friend

Fab Bowlers Day

This card is from a decoupage paper from Flippin Men series, I must admit I`ve had them a couple of years but read recently they were making a come back. This one is for a grandad and is quite open so can be used for Fathers Day or a Birthday

I used Kanban caerstock and backing papers and I store all my cards in cello to keep them prestine. I just wish I`d photographed it before I packed it.

I keep forgetting to do that. But now I`ve set up a portable studio in the craft room so hopefully I`ll remember a bit better

Welsh Card for Taff

My cousin is Welsh and to say he is proud of his heritage is an understatement. So I searched high and low to find some toppers and this is the result

The Sentiment is from a selection of Kanban`s at Shipley. The gold bunting I cut out of a sheet of gold backing papers. The three feathers were downloaded from google

New Grandparents Card

I wanted to make a friend a card to welcome her new grandson to the family. I enjoyed making the card but the sentiment was a little tricky so settled for a sentiment "Children are love made visable" as I know how excited she has been during her daughters pregnancy.

I cut the sheep out on my Silhouette SD. Sentiments were from Samuel Taylors and backing papers were from a stash I had printed for free on the internet.
