Hanky Holder

I think we`ve all been to the pond shop and bought those travel hankys 10 for a £1 , well I decided to make an holder for them , so when guests come to stay I could put one by the side of the bed.

Just to pretty it us a bit, as I used was a sheet of card 30cm x 19cm scored, covered with free backing papers from a magazine Quick Cards and some double sided tape.

Came out better than I thought, only thing is, its the wrong colours for the room so I`ll have to make some more

Love Is In the Air

First I cut out a side stepper card.
The roses, postbag  and tilda were then stamped,  scanned and printed, needed them certain sizes to fit on my stepper card
The valentine, flowers, hearts and wording was cut out of red card using my Silhouette SD
Backing paper was free in the Creative Cardmaking Magazine

One of the first times I`ve used a side stepper card and it came out better than I thought

Mans Fabric card

This car and card is fabric, part of a pack I picked up from create & craft in a sale, used some ribbon for the road and sky.
Some happy birthday embillishments from Kan Ban
And some buttons from my sewing box for the wheels

Ribbon Storage

I was forever routing around in boxes looking for a ribbon and very often forgot I had them. On Sunday OH came in from bootsale with this CD rack he`d bought for a pound. I walked past it a few times while it was on my stairs, then had an eureka moment

Oh have to find something else for his Cds as its perfect for my ribbons and plenty of room for more

Thank You cards

I needed a range of thanks you cards so made these up super speedy

The animals and clouds on this one was "flocked", I wanted to try out this technique and it looks better than photographed

These were made using free backing papers in a monthly magazine, I decoupaged the flowers and added some accents - simples

Sympathy Cards

These are something that no-one likes making but sometimes needs must. This is a simple design, but says a lot as you can see by the Single White Lily

I chose not to put anything on the front but inside there is a suitable verse

Whitby

Managed to get a couple of days away to Whitby at the end of the season, its definately one of my favourite places, and I `m hoping to do more outings there in Summer

If you look in the distance you can see the sea and the site was just above it

When you walk down hill from site this is the view from the beach

Whitby must have the best fish and chips ever, I was told to goto the Mermaid restaurant. but OH wont eat skin and bones so ended up in one just before it and mmmm they were bliss

Buffet Cupcakes

I had a bit of a buffet over christmas and seemed to spend forever in the kitchen. Well it was a great success and my visitors from all parts of the country were impressed with my cupcakes.

We had people from South Wales, Scotland , Newcastle, Stoke. America and Yorkshire. What a mixing of cultures and ages from 5 - 75 years old,  it was a great success, cant wait for the next one

But need a well earned rest at the moment

Main Table

Dessert Table

You can see my cupcake tree at the back and I thought the colours and appearance was fab. The flavours for this one were
Chocolate orange
Mint
Srawberry
Lemon
I also made some welsh cakes, a victorian trifle, christmas cake. Mince pies. (had to buy some pies as well as made 48 and scoffed most of them)
